One tool instead of five

Designing furniture usually means stitching together a 3D modeler, a cut optimizer, a cost spreadsheet, and hand-drawn assembly notes — none of which talk to each other. CraftCut does it all in one place, and keeps everything in sync.

The usual way
  • A 3D modeler like SketchUp to draw it
  • A separate cut optimizer for the sheets
  • A spreadsheet to work out the cost
  • Hand-drawn notes to assemble it
  • Redo all of it when the design changes
CraftCut
  • Design, cut list, cost & assembly in one browser tab
  • Change the design once — everything updates instantly
  • Buy less plywood with automatic waste optimization
  • Know the exact cost before you reach the lumber yard
  • No installs — start free in seconds

What you actually get

Design with precision

Lay out every shelf, side, and back panel on a 2D front-view canvas. Snap guides, alignment tools, and millimeter-precise dimension editing mean you get it right the first time — before you touch a saw.

Snap Grid · Alignment Guides · Measure Tool

Minimize waste automatically

The optimizer nests every panel onto standard sheets and picks the layout with the least waste. Saw kerf, grain direction, and edge banding are all accounted for — so you buy only what you need.

Auto-nesting · Grain Direction · Kerf Allowance

Start from a template

Pick a bookshelf, cabinet, desk, TV stand, wardrobe, or dresser, set your dimensions, and CraftCut generates every panel for you. Fine-tune from there — no blank canvas, no starting from scratch.

Parametric · 6 Furniture Types · Fully Editable

Step-by-step assembly guide

Get IKEA-style build instructions generated automatically. Each step shows a 3D illustration of what to attach next, which joints to use, and whether the structure needs temporary support. No guesswork at the workbench.

Auto-generated · Joint Detection · Stability Hints

Export a complete booklet

Print or PDF-export a production booklet with a cover page, dimensioned parts list, cutting diagrams with waste highlights, assembly instructions, and material costs. Hand it to your workshop or keep it at the saw.

PDF · Parts List · Cut Diagrams · Assembly

Know the cost upfront

Set the price per sheet and per meter of edge banding for your material. CraftCut totals up how many sheets you need, how much banding, and gives you a cost estimate before you drive to the lumber yard.

Sheet Cost · Edge Banding · Multi-currency

Describe it.
CraftCut draws it.

Type what you want in plain language — “a 5-drawer dresser, 80cm wide” — and CraftCut generates a real, editable panel layout in seconds. Refine it on the canvas, preview in 3D, and send it to the saw. The fastest path from idea to cut list.

Catch mistakes before you cut

A live design health check flags floating parts, panels that won’t fit your sheet, gaps, and duplicates — then highlights exactly what to fix. Problems get caught on screen, not at the saw.

Built for the workshop floor

Switch to a full-screen, glove-friendly build mode: one step at a time, oversized text, and hands-free voice control — say “next”, “done”, or “back” so your phone stays clean and the screen stays on.

Plans, journals & community

Start from ready-made plans by CraftCut and the community, then document your build with photos and milestones — and share a public build page that shows off the finished piece.

Questions, answered

Do I need to install anything?
No. CraftCut runs entirely in your browser — nothing to download or set up. You can also install it as a PWA to keep designing offline, right where the Wi-Fi can’t reach.
Is it really free?
Yes. The Free plan lets you design, optimize cut lists, preview in 3D, and export — no credit card. While we’re in beta, Pro features are free too, so you can try everything before deciding to upgrade.
Do I need CAD or design experience?
Not at all. Describe your piece in plain words and let the AI draw it, or start from a ready-made template and set your dimensions. Everything happens on a simple visual canvas — no CAD skills required.
Can I export files for my CNC machine?
Yes. Export DXF and SVG files for CNC routers on the Workshop plan, plus PDF booklets and CSV cut lists on every plan — so you can hand off to any saw, shop, or machine.
Where are my designs stored?
Your projects are saved to your account in the cloud and sync across every device — laptop to phone. They’re yours: export them to PDF, CSV, or CNC files anytime.
What happens when the beta ends?
Your projects stay yours, and the Free plan stays free. Beta makers get plenty of notice and early-adopter perks before we introduce paid plans — no surprises.
